Hospital Policies

Our goal at 5280 Veterinary Care is to create a positive experience for both our animal patients and human clients. We know that your time is important to you, so we want to do our part in managing our practice to effectively reduce wait times and keep appointments punctual, while also being able to accommodate the greatest amount of clients. This is why we have certain hospital procedures in place, to better serve your pets with client-focused and stress-free visits.

Appointment Policy

We coordinate pre-scheduled appointments for our day-to-day operations, including wellness exams.

Of course, despite our best intentions, not everything can be scheduled - like emergency cases. Please understand that emergencies are unpredictable and may require our doctors’ immediate attention, in which case we ask for your understanding. We would offer your pet the same vital and timely care, if ever needed.

If your pet has a medical emergency while we are open, we will treat your pet immediately. Please do try and give us a call on your way to our facility so we are best prepared. If we are closed, please seek care at the emergency location nearest you.

Arrival Policy

We request that when pets are brought into their appointments, they are properly restrained. This can either be with a leash or harness or with a crate. Despite how well-behaved an individual pet may be, it is in the best interest of all parties involved for them to be under control at all times.

If you suspect your pet may have an infectious disease like kennel cough or parvovirus, please let us know in advance when scheduling your appointment. This way we can make special arrangements to protect our other clients from contracting the malady.

Please arrive as close to your scheduled appointment time as possible. Since we schedule the majority of our appointments in advance, we may need to reschedule your appointment if you arrive more than 10 minutes past your scheduled time.

Payment Policy

In order for us to provide top-of-the-line care for our patients in our technologically advanced facility, we must insist that all payments are made in full at the time of your pet’s appointment.

We are happy to assist you with budgeting by providing costs estimates prior to the appointment.

For payment, we can accept cash, checks (processed electronically), Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and CareCredit®.


Our staff is experienced and equipped to handle a wide variety of veterinary areas. However, if your pet does need the help of a specialist, we will provide you with an excellent referral to another trusted team. Following treatment with the referred specialist, your pet’s care will always continue here at 5280 Veterinary Care.

Prescription Refills

Our facility is fully stocked with a large variety of prescription medication refills and prescription diets. To pick up a prescription refill for your pet, please call us. Please allow 24-48 hours notice for refills. 

Prescription Diets

Some pet’s treatment plans call for specialized diets. Our doctors are here to make recommendations as well as prescribe a wide range of food for a variety of health concerns.

Cancellation/No Show Policy

We strive to provide the best in patient and client care. As a result, we work hard to protect the time that is set aside for you and your pet. Please review the policies below regarding appointment cancellations as well as if you are late or no-show to an appointment.

Cancellation: If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, please contact us no later than 24 hours before your appointment time. You can call the clinic at 720-789-7000 or email us at: welcome@5280vet.com. Please be sure to include your information, your pet’s information, and the appointment day and time. If you do not cancel within the 24-hour period, you will incur a late cancellation fee of $30.

No Show: If you no-show for an appointment (you do not notify us you will not make it) you will be charged a no-show fee of $50. If you no-show for an appointment 3 times, you will need to pre-pay the exam fee of $69 when scheduling your appointment.

Late Arrival: If you arrive 10 minutes late or more for your scheduled appointment, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment and may incur a cancellation fee, as we are unable to provide excellent care for you and your pet. If you are running late, please call the clinic at 720-789-7000 to discuss options with one of our client care receptionists.
